     In this example, I got a nice picture of the trees and the mountain silhouetted against a dark sky in the moonlight.  I had two problems.  First, the details of the moon’s face, which I could see, didn’t show up and second, there were power lines in the picture which really didn’t appear in my mind’s eye.

     Fortunately, I had taken another picture of the scene with a different exposure and it showed the moon, but not the countryside.


  1. Below, you can see the elements that I used to apply a little magic, making the power lines disappear and the moon look the way I actually saw it, right down to the glow and the silhouetted landscape.
